Hello! Welcome to the adChain Registry WebApp. The adChain Registry is a decentralized, token-curated registry for reputable domains. This video will walk you through each step of a domain’s journey through the adChain Registry. By the end, you will understand all of the aspects a domain may encounter.
For the purpose of this walkthrough, we will be following adchain.news as it journeys through the adChain Registry.
Applying a Domain – Not Challenged
adchain.news applies to the adChain Registry and successfully makes it through the In-Application stage without anybody challenging their domain. They must be a real premium news source! Since they were unchallenged, adchain.news is now officially in the adChain Registry.
Applying a Domain – If Challenged
If adchain.news is challenged during the “Application” stage, it immediately goes into the “Voting Commit” stage where the general adToken community is asked to commit a vote to either support or oppose adchain.news’s application into the adChain Registry.
Once the voting-commit stage ends, the voting phase is moved to the “Voting Reveal” stage.
In this stage, adToken holders who previously committed a vote will need to reveal their vote. Once the Voting Reveal stage ends, all votes are tallied and the results will determine whether the domain applicant has won or lost the vote.
If the general adToken community votes to Support adchain.news’s application into the adChain Registry, then adchain.news has won the vote, and is admitted into the adChain Registry.
If the general adToken community votes to Oppose adchain.news’s application, it has lost the vote, and is rejected from the adChain Registry.
But don’t worry, adchain.news can apply as many times as they want, they will just need to start over from the beginning and reapply.
